☑️ 잘못된 표현
The chicken and the pasta were great. They were excellent. But the pizza… it left something to be desired
✔️개인 경험이나 개인적인 후회에 대해서 말할 때는 잘 사용하지 않음
✔️비교적 formal한 어감으로 사용함
➡️ The chicken and the pasta were great. They were excellent.
1) the pizza wasn’t quiet up there with the rest.
* up there : 저기서
2) the pizza wasn’t quiet on par with the rest.
* A is on a par with B : A가 하나의 기준(par) 위에 B와 함께 있으니 "A와 B가 같은 수준이다"란 뜻
3) I mean it was bad per se

Yeah, I would even say that it was above average. It’s just that the others were so exceptionally good that made the pizza seem worse
